Box 942849 Sacramento, CA 94249 Fax: (916) 319-2114 Dear Assembly Member Skinner: (909) 839-7000 + Fax (909) 861-3117 www.DiamondBarCA.gov The City of Diamond Bar respectfully opposes AB 904, which reduces the authority of cities to regulate land use and parking standards. Incorporated in 1989, the City of Diamond Bar is a newer residential community with unique needs that the City Council understands and works diligently to address. Rather than give cities additional tools to address their own distinct needs, AB 904 pre-empts local land use and parking standards. Resident and business input are key components to any decision made by the City Council, and it should remain up to the local community to make decisions that impact those they have been elected to serve. For these reasons, the City of Diamond Bar is opposed to AB 904. Sincerely, Ling -Lin Chang Mayor, City of Diamond Bar CC: Senator Bob Huff -29th District Assemblyman Curt Hagman -60th District City Council League of California Cities Joe A. Gonsalves & Son
