RESOLUTION NO. 2001-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DIAMOND BAR, CALIFORNIA FINDING AND REPORTING THAT THE
LOCATION, PURPOSE AND EXTENT OF THE VACATED PORTION OF
RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR HAWKWOOD ROAD IS IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE
WITH THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR
A. RECITALS.
(i.) WHEREAS, vacation of portion of right-of-way for Hawkwood Road, a street now in use for
public purposes, is requested by JCC Homes for the purpose to facilitate the installation of a security gate
for emergency services access at this entrance to the Crystal Ridge Estates;
(ii.) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Diamond Bar has considered the matter of
vacating portion of right-of-way for Hawkwood Road, the location and extent of which is generally described
in Exhibit A and shown as "Existing Public Right -of -Way for Hawkwood Drive to be Vacated" in Exhibit B
attached hereto; and
(iii.) WHEREAS, Section 65402 of the Government Code of the State of California requires that no
street shall be vacated until the location, purpose and extent has been reported upon by the planning
-', agency of the city as to conformity with the general plan.
B. RESOLUTION.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE:
Section 1. The Planning Commission hereby finds that the vacation of that portion of right-of-
way for Hawkwood Road as generally described in Exhibit A and shown as
"Existing Public Right -of -Way for Hawkwood Drive to be Vacated" ; l Exhibit B,
attached hereto, along with the reservation and exception of easerr.ynts for public
-utility and public services -purposes over that portion of Hawkwood - ,oad to be
vacated is in general conformance with the Circulation Element of i.?e adopted
General Plan of the City of Diamond Bar.
Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends to the City Council to vacate that
portion of right-of-way for Hawkwood Road as generally described in Exhibit A and
shown as "Existing Public Right -of -Way for Hawkwood Drive to be Vacated" in
Exhibit B, attached hereto, along with the reservation and exception of easements
for public utility and public services purposes over that portion of Hawkwood Road
to be vacated.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of June, 2001.
