HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 96-32RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 32 A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES ACTING IN BEHALF OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY GENERAL FUND, LOS ANGELES COUNTY LIBRARY, LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL, LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE - FFW AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 21 OF THE .COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, AND THE GOVERNING BODIES OF CITY OF DIAMOND BAR, GREATER LOS ANGELES COUNTY VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT, THREE VALLEYS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA WATER -WALNUT VALLEY WATER DISTRICT, CALIFORNIA WATER-WVWD-IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT #3, CALIFORNIA WATER-WVWD-IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 44, APPROVING AND ACCEPTING NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES RESULTING FROM ANNEXATION TO COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 21., "ANNEXATION NO. 631 " WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 and 99.1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, prior to the effective date of any Jurisdictional change which will result in a special district providing a new service, the governing bodies of all local agencies that receive an apportionment of the property tax from the area must determine the amount of property tax revenues from the annual tax increment to be exchanged between the affected agencies and approve and accept the negotiated exchange of property tax revenues by resolution, and WHEREAS, the governing bodies of the agencies signatory hereto have made determinations of the amount of property tax revenues from the annual tax increments to be exchanged as a result of the annexation to County Sanitation District No. 21 entitled Annexation No. 631. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS SECTION I. The negotiated exchange of property tax revenues resulting from the annexation of territory to County Sanitation District No. 21 in the annexation entitled Annexation No. 631 is approved and accepted. SECTION II. For each fiscal year commencing on and after July 1, 1996 or after the effective date of this jurisdictional change, whichever is later, the County Auditor shall transfer to County Sanitation District No. 21 a total of 0.3594 percent of the Annual Tax Increment attributable to the land area encompassed within Annexation No. 631. Said percentage has been determined on the basis of the following contributions. Los Angeles County General Fund 0.1775 Is Angeles County Library 0.0147 L Angeles County Flood Control 0.0069 Lo kngeles County Fire Protection District 0.1032 96-32 Los Angeles County Fire - FFW 0.0087 City of Diamond Bar 0.0397 Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District 0.0002 Three Valleys Municipal Water District 0.0021 California Water -Walnut Valley Water District 0.0004 California Water-WVWD-Improvement District 43 0.0048 California Water-WVWD-Improvement District #4 0.0012 TOTAL 0.3594 SECTION III. No additional transfer of property tax revenues shall be made from any other taxing agencies to County Sanitation District No. 21 as a result of annexation entitled Annexation No. 631. SECTION IV. No transfer of property tax revenues from properties within a community redevelopment project shall be made during the period that the entire tax increment is legally committed for repayment of the redevelopment project costs. SECTION V. The City Council of the City of Diamond Bar hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute the joint resolution referred to herein, a copy of which is attached and marked Exhibit "A."
