RESOLUTION NO. 2003-20
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DIAMOND BAR IN SUPPORT OF AB 1652 - LOS ANGELES
COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, existing law provides for the membership of the Los Angel
Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LAMTA), which includes 4 mem
appointed by the Los Angeles County City Selection committee, and
WHEREAS, AB 1652 would increase the number of members of the au hority
from 14 members to 16 members and would increase the members apointed
the Los Angeles County City Selection Committee by 6, and
WHEREAS, AB 1652 will result in a more equitable Metropolitan Transportation
Authority Board where every city in the Los Angeles County will have a voice in
transportation policy, and
WHEREAS, the City of Diamond Bar supports AB 1652;
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. AB 1652 creates a Board that best reflects the diversity a d needs
of the entire Los Angeles County.
SECTION 2. The City Council supports AB 1652 and asks all electedofficials to
support AB 1652.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution.
