HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2003-09RESOLUTION NO. 2003-09 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2002 For The Development and Improvement of Recreational Trails at Sycamore Canyon Park WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Clean ater, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhoods, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2002 which prvides funds for the RMC Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountair s Conservancy (RMC) has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of he grant program in its jurisdiction, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by RMC require the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of the Application before submision of said Application to the State; and WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a Contract with the State of California for the Project; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Diamond Bar hereby- 1. ereby: 1. Approves the filing of an Application for local assistance funds from tho RMC Grant Program under the Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhoo s, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2002; and 2. Certifies that the Project is consistent with local or regional land use pl ns or Programs (or if it is not, that the project is still approved); and 3. Certifies that the. Project is consistent with Common Ground and Phase 11 Final Reports; and 4. Certifies that the Application has or will have sufficient funds to operat� and maintain the Project; and 5. Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed and understands the General Provisions contained in the Procedural Guide; and 6. Appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, Applications, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the Project. 20OB-09 Passed, adopted and approved this eighteenth day of February 2003.
