WHEREAS, a vacancy in the off ce the City Council was created by the resignation of Councilmember Bob Huf on December 6, 2004; and 2007. WHEREAS, the term of office in which the vacancy occurs ends on December 4, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUN IL OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR, CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY RESOL E, DECLARE; DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the requirements of laws of the State of California pertaining to general law cities, there is called and ordered to be held in the City of Diamond Bar, California on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 a Special Municipal Election for the purpose of the election of a member oft e City Council for the term of the office in which the vacancy was created by the rsignation of Councilmember Bob Huff which ends December 4, 2007. SECTION 2. The ballots to be us d at the election shall be in form and content as required by law. SECTION 3. The City Clerk or his or her designee is authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia tt at may be necessary to properly and orderly conduct the election. SECTION 4. The polls shall be op 9n at seven o'clock a.m. on the day of the election and shall remain open continuou 31y from that time until eight o'clock p.m. of the same day when the polis shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14401 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SECTION 5. Pursuant to Election,, for the persons named as precinct board inspector and $55 for each Clerk for the E paid to all precinct board members who v provided training class. The rental for ear be the sum of $25 for the election. When of the building shall be $25 for the electioi Code Section 12310, a stipend for services iembers is fixed at the sum of $75 for each 9ction. An additional stipend of $25 shall lie )rk on election day that attend the City - i polling place, where a charge is made, shall equired, the compensation of the Custodian SECTION 6. In all particulars not recited in this resolution, the election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections. SECTION 7. Notice of the time and place of holding the election is given and the City Clerk is authorized, instructed and directed to give further or additional notice of the election, in time, form and manner as required by law. SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of o iginal resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND 1, Linda C.
