1106 Cleghorn Drive, Units C and D
Diamond Bar, CA
Project No. 160122
This report summarizes the Inspections (performed on March 28, April 3, April 26, and April
27, 2017) of the above property foundation underpinning. I also reviewed the pier
Installation logs provided by Foundations -on -the -Level, consisting of 23 resistance piers
and 3 helical piers,
RESISTANCE PIERS
Twenty-three resistance piers were Installed to depths ranging from 7 feet to 24 feet below
the ground surface. Final Installation pressures ranged from about 4000 psi to 5600 psi.
These piers were installed according to the specifications on the approved plans and soils
report.
HELICAL PIERS
Three helical piers were installed below the interior common wall between the units to
provide additional lifting capacity. Installed depths ranged from 14 feet to 15 feet, and
final Installation torques ranged from about 5600 ft lbs to 6700 ft -lbs. The additional piers
were recommended because the installed resistance piers were insufficient to lift the
grade beam foundations that supported the Interior common wails.
BUILDING LIFT
Maximum building lift was about 2 Inches (along the southwest exterior wall of the
building). Maximum achieved lift In the center of the building was about 0.7 inches.
